Class Etiquette
1) Punctuality
To minimise disruptions and to warm-up, members should arrive 5-10 minutes before the start of the class.
2) Respect
Give our instructors your full attention while they are teaching. If someone next to you is not a fast learner, please refrain from teaching him/her.
3) Cell phones off
Keep cell phones off or on silent during class to minimise interruptions.
4) Hygiene
For your comfort and convenience, we have provided cologne / body spray in both restrooms for your use before and after class.
5) Dress appropriately
Shorts and bermudas are a strict no for men, and all slippers and street shoes that leave marks are not allowed in the studio. Women are advised to wear comfortable attire to facilitate ease of movement during their classes, and if wearing heels, to choose pairs with straps around the ankles for proper support.
6) Drinks
Cups are not allowed in both of our dance studios. Water bottles must be capped and left on the window sills or shelves.
7) Be considerate
When finding a spot to stand during classes, please be aware of the people around you - tall students in front, taller ones behind.
8) Propriety
Social dancing can often involve a high degree of close physical contact. Do not take advantage of this to intrude on another's personal space.
Mosaic Dance takes the need to create a conducive dancing environment for all very seriously, and reserves the right to dismiss a member from a class / terminate a membership if proper etiquette and conduct has not been adhered to.
